2002, you've been able to choose the company that provides electricity to
your home and business in Texas. That change brought about a new
role for Texas-New Mexico Power Company. In Texas, TNMP is no longer
the company that sends your electric bill and supplies your
electricity. Instead, we're the electric delivery company for your
area.
Your electricity - and your bill - are now
provided by the Retail Electric Provider of your choice. While the
sale of electricity is deregulated, the delivery of power through a
transmission and distribution utility (TNMP) remains regulated to ensure
ongoing reliability.
